Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, announced today that it now plans to hire 205 new employees at five of its fast-growing locations prior to this year’s holiday season.
ERI has placed an open call for job applications in light of the company’s continued growth and expansion.
ERI’s Plainfield, Indiana location will hire 50 new people. In addition, the company’s Aurora, Colorado and Auburn, Washington locations will also each be adding up to 15 new employees. News of this expansion comes on the heels of ERI’s announcement less than two weeks ago that its Badin, North Carolina location will be adding 75 people and its Flower Mound, Texas facility will hire an additional 50.
“Our business continues to progressively expand as more businesses and individuals want to responsibly recycle their electronics. We continue to grow at each of our locations around the country as the economy continues to recover,” said John Shegerian, ERI’s Chairman and CEO. “Each year during the holidays we get an influx of unwanted electronics being discarded to make way for new and incoming gifts. We need more people right away to handle this surge who are interested in developing their careers with ERI, the world’s leading brand.”
ERI has set up an interactive resume submission section on its website, electronicrecyclers.com/about-us/careers.aspx, which enables applicants to apply for any position online.
Shegerian said that a wide array of positions are available, including Managerial positions, Assistant Manager, CRT Dismantler, E-Scrap Sorter, Forklift Operator, Repair Specialists and many other warehouse positions.
“A big year is expected for consumer electronics in retail,” added Shegerian. “When the thousands of people come wanting to unload their unwanted electronics, we will need to be ready!”
