ERI, headquartered in Fresno, California, has formed a strategic partnership with Green Marble Co., the subholding business of Hanoi, Vietnam-based VSD Holdings in charge of recycling facilities, establishing ERI Vietnam. The company is scheduled to begin doing business later in 2026.
The partnership brings together a leading U.S. material resource recovery, information technology asset disposition (ITAD), mobility, data destruction/processing provider and electronics recycler with an investment company committed to building a green ecosystem that supports the sustainable development of Vietnam.
While ERI says it has audited ITAD and recycling partners in more than 140 countries, this new partnership with Green Marble is ERI’s first owned and ERI-branded location in Vietnam.
This is the second international partnership ERI has announced this year. In March, the company partnered with Itochu Corp., with headquarters in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, to form ERI Japan.
ERI says that with Green Marble, it will bring state-of-the-art electronics recycling and ITAD services to Vietnam through its 50/50 joint venture. ERI Vietnam will incorporate best practices from both organizations, including ERI’s circular solutions for responsibly recycling electronics and the networks of Green Marble, VSD Holdings and their partners in Vietnam and overseas.
ERI’s solutions include data destruction, the advanced shredding of end-of-life IT equipment, remarketing, recycling, logistics and regulatory compliance services. The company says it offers highly transparent chain of custody management that tracks each IT asset using proprietary software. ERI also uses technologies leveraging artificial intelligence image recognition and robotic arms to sort shredded materials.

Shegerian says ERI Vietnam will offer transparency, using an end-to-end closed circular loop to keep material out of landfills, ensure its responsibly recycled and put back into the circular economy to produce new products in Vietnam.
He calls the country a “land of tremendous growth opportunities in this sector.”

Since its founding in 2002, ERI has recycled more than 3 billion pounds of electronics in the US, and it has contributed significantly to the realization of a circular economy.
